Filmmaking Workshop at Women Make Waves Int’l Film Festival – Archival Images and Personal Histories【檔案影像與個人歷史】

Conducted a masterclass workshop for the festival with 62 Years and 6500 Miles Between as an example for understanding one’s family history in (post)coloniality when no official or state archives were publicly available. I discussed the elements I used: my grandmother’s published essay, my grandmother who was alive at that time though she could not speak, my own personal archives, oral histories from relatives, remains of spaces and places, and family pictures.
