Scholars Myla Vicenti Carpio and Karen Leong hosted a screening of Tongues of Heaven and web exhibit of Root Tongue at the Arizona State University Labriola Indian Data Center. The discussions were stimulating and insightful, given that my co-directors Anchi Chen and Shinlan Yu were able to reflect back almost 10 years when we started our inquiry into language endangerment and subsequent filming. They shared with audiences how their respective peers and communities are dealing with the issues today.
